Woke up this morning and felt the after effect of running around in heels for almost 12 hours straight.  Both of my legs are cramping.  Nothing new, though, just another day in the world of pageants and fashion shows.

Wearing a pink peplum dress and 5-inch pumps, surrounded by beautiful little princesses, on-the-go all day and all night- I felt like a (worn-out) Sugar Plum Fairy welcoming everyone to the Kingdom of Sweets.

Of course, minus the wings and the fancy, graceful ballet choreography to Tchaikovsky’s classic celesta piece.  Not to mention, my newly painted nails were peeling AND makeup smeared by the end of the evening.

All the months and months of preparation comes down to this one night.  And in the end it always, always is a splendid feeling to see my girls onstage, so brave and so elegant.  Once the lights turn off, the music starts playing, and the first contestant take their first walk and the audience are at awe, we know that all of it was worth it.

Our judges, Lorena Takushi, Valerie Schmidt, Junior Mandrial, Joel Gaspar and Liz Kiehm thank you so very much for making the difficult decision for us.  To my pageant queens who performed and made a special appearance,  Shayna Raymond, Jackie Taylor, Brielle Sadorra, and Patricia Morta, thank you- stay beautiful and keep up being a good role model to your peers.
