Currently not-so-amazing!  Ugh… my face right now:::

Comic Con is FINALLY coming to Hawaii, and the much anticipated ticket sale date was today, Friday, May 15th.  It was announced on their website, and advertised on their Twitter and Facebook that the tickets were going to be live, ON SALE at 10:00am local time, Hawaii Time.

So we log-in at 9:32am on EventBrite to confirm the VIP ticket prices, and oh my goodness, we find that the VIP Packages are all SOLD OUT!!!!!

SERIOUSLY?   Apparently they started selling the tickets about 9am, an hour earlier than we expected.  So of course Hawaii people log-in a little before 10am to find out the the same thing.  VIP TICKETS SOLD OUT.

Super disappointing, but we bought the General Admission tickets for four.

I check back on their FB Page and see all the comments about this inconvenience and Comic Con makes an announcement:

Amazing Hawaii Comic Con Ticket Update

Due to overwhelming demand, Initial allotments of the Original VIP Tickets and the Turtles VIP Packages have Sold Out.

While standard one day General Admission tickets and full 3 day event tickets are still available, we will be adding new specialty packages to meet the demand, while still keeping the integrity of the exclusive packages.

Again, SERIOUSLY????  Tickets are non-refundable, all sales are final.  So they expect us to buy another round of tickets after already purchasing the general tickets!  How organized and customer service-oriented they must be!

They should give us an option to upgrade our general tickets to VIP tickets, I think that’s the fair way to accommodate this inconvenience.
