I think in life we get so wrapped up in everyday moments and our own little problems that we forget that there are others who are going through much more horrible things.
This past week I have been focused on three weekends of back-to-back craft fairs for Bohemian Princess, I have been heedless of what has been going on around me. I have a two-week break since my next fair, and today, I was finally able to catch up with the world. I am just heartbroken with the news of Typhoon Haiyan that occurred in the country where the rest of my family calls home.
With 1200 confirmed deaths, and the toll rising to even the possibility of 10,000 people losing their lives from one of Mother Nature’s random acts of destruction….
It’s one of those times I wish I was superwoman and had the ability to save all of those in need. Knowing that there was no way I could have, I also know there is a way that I can do something about it…
For the next fairs, Bohemian Princess will be donating 20% of its profit towards Fashion With A Mission’s Philippine Relief fund. The collected funds will be sent to assist everyone affected by the devastation.
